Dr. Kara Petrunick, ND, BHSc

Meet Dr. Kara

Dr. Kara is a licensed naturopathic doctor with a private practice in Ontario, CA.

My practice is a true combination of educational and personal experience, what I like to call wisdom at my ripe young age.

With a Bachelors of Science in Health Science and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, I’m able to critically think and apply my textbook knowledge. But, I’ve become uniquely skilled in finding the root cause beyond the sort of care we know through your health story and targeted diagnostic testing.

With a history of exhaustion, insomnia, crippling anxiety to a TIA (mini stroke) and scary episode of A-fibrillation - my health history has become my greatest tool in approaching cases. What I’ve gone through and have come out of gives me a different perspective to health and healing.

If I'm not working 1:1 with patients, I'm likely taking a long walk with a podcast, doing pilates, or yes binging the latest on Netflix.

Individualized, health care

Dr. Kara asks questions that you may have never been asked in a conventional setting. Listening deeply to your health story, shared in your own words.

We work to uncover any cause as to why you feel the way you feel; and we start from the beginning.

Beyond the time spent together, we deliver an in-depth treatment plan as well as full support. We take pride in this, we know change isn’t easy but we are here to support you through each step.

Advanced Diagnostic Testing

Testing allows us to look at the body at a cellular level and to target the treatment plan.

We are frequently running blood work to look at nutrient deficiencies, hormone levels, cholesterol, blood sugar, insulin.

Having this option allows us to really see the changes we are making.

  • This all depends on your case and how ready you are to make the changes. We typically see the biggest results occur close to the 12 month mark, most will feel an improvement within the first 3 months. Remember, we didn’t get to where we are overnight, sometimes we are managing a lifetime of concerns.
